Many times I saw in TV that some experimenters made hairs of a people straight (floating) by charging his body which is isolated from ground. I am very interested to do the project but I do not know about it. Static charge has high volts, so I am thinking to charge body with high voltage generator like this: http://chemelec.com/Projects/Electrostatic/Electrostatic.htm

I selected the circuit because Gary Lecomte (designer of the circuit) gifted its parts to me so that I can make this one. I even do not know I need positive or negative charge. Any mistake? Designer says it generates 6KV.

 

I doubt 6kV is enough to raise hairs significantly.

Most of those demonstrations us a van de graaff generator - these can do 100 kV.
