I was exploring the operation/limits of the 'A' devices in LTS recently and amused myself by building a simple model of a generic wall-wart which goes into hiccup mode when its rated current is exceeded. The model has parameters Vout (output voltage, either positive or negative), Imax (rated current) and Period (hiccup repetition period) which can be edited by right-clicking the model symbol. Default values are Vout=+5V, Imax=500mA, Period=160mS.
In case anyone finds the model useful I'm attaching the relevant sim files.

 

Now all we need is a model for a Lithium Ion cell that knows when to turn into a blowtorch..

 

I always thought it would be amusing for a simulator to include smoke in the simulation.

 

I've often thought it would be handy if LTS could provide some visual output, e.g. an indicator lamp or meter, without having to plot some component voltage/current output. I like the idea of it being a blowtorch or smoke (presumably the magic variety)
