Been trying to learn Ltspice I used qucs but it don't seem to be that good for what i want do.
Does anyone have a project of a simple transistor osc that shows the output I think I can figure how to set it up
after seeing how it was done .
something simple like this.

Don't need the led just want see how to output it on the sim.
All i get see is a flat line at about the same as input voltage.

Set the Stop Time in the Simulate/ Edit simulation command tab.
Your sim circuit shown won't oscillate, because breakdown of the base-emitter junction of standard transistors isn't modelled by LTspice.

Thanks I was thinking that wasn't right but I don't no much about spice and I just found the samples.
I' running Linux and wine to run Ltspice.
I ziped this up could you show me how to see the output osculate.

Nice to see that thanks, but it's not what I was looking for I found it where to set the settings not like there many books that tell you how to find the simulation command.

Let alone what 500u means but I'll figure it out

On a side not it would of been nice had you posted the file so I could look it over how it was setup.

That circuit originally had a FET transistor which oscillates fine.
Why did you change that to a BJT?
The BJT has too low an input impedance to work in that circuit.

I was just playing around with it I'm going to put It back like it was and sim it.

I put it back but I still can't get a window that shows the oscillator output.
I see said the blind man you click the mouse over it and it lets you zoom in.

Well I hate to say it but I installed windows in a sandbox that lets me use Ltspice
It works better that way the problem is on linux with wine it kind of hid the files.
now i can read the help.
Thanks all for posting.

I cant get the same thing it don't show the bottom view.
Of the wave output.
To display the second expanded trance do the following in Plot Settings:
  • Left-click Add Plot Pane
  • Left-click on Sync. Horz Axes to uncheck
  • Click on Out terminal in the Schematic
  • Hold down the left mouse button and create a box around the part of the second trace you want to expand.
