Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to simulate the LT1016 in LTSpice. I made a simple voltage divider connected to the VIN+ and Vref connected to VIN-. Vref is 0.93 and VIN+ is 0.924 so shouldn't the output be small?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I need VIN+ to be less than 0.8V. So I substituted LT1016 with LT1011. According to the manual, when a single 5V supply is used then the min VIN+ can be 0.5V (http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/datasheet/1011afe.pdf). Also, it is mentioned that if balance pins are not used then they should be connected together with a capacitor. The output doesn't change even when I change the value of VR!

With pin 1 grounded (that's the emitter of the output transistor), the collector of that transistor is in effect an open collector output so you need to add a resistor from pin 7 to the +5V to pull up the output when the transistor is off. See page 10, fig 5 and page 16 of the datasheet.
