hi
i'm looking to install a low voltage cutout to protect a 11.1v li poly battery in my RC car i believe the minimum safe voltage is 8.6v so if it cut out at 9v would be good ,the car draws 11A at full load. as i have limited knowledge in electronics an easy curcuit would be favorable. i was thinking of a transistor, zener diode system rather than using a standard relay and a zener diode because of the current needed to operate the relay.

any help would be much appreciated

thanks

Look for comparator circuits in google with op-amps.

Here is one i found

There are thousands.
