How you go about doing this?

 

I would look for it in Google Images where a graph will show the magnitude and phase at various frequencies related to the cutoff frequency.

 

use any filter design tool, amongst are MATLAb

 

Use a standard text like oppenheim or wikipedia to first understand what butterworth filters are and how to design them. Then you can easily plot and analyse a 2nd order LPF yourself.

 

I have the denormalized transfer function of

H(jw) = 1/1-(f/1000)^2 + jsqrt2(f/1000)

just not sure what to do with this and how it applies to a bode plod
