Hi guys!

This is my first post here on All About Circuits, but I'm no stranger to this site. Thanks to the wonderful articles on here, I was able to pass my University Electronics course!

Now, to my problem:

I'm trying to repair my dad's old Bernina Deco 600 embroidery machine. The problem is that it is an old machine, and components are hard to come by.

I've found most of them, but one remains elusive: the Mitsubishi FS3UM-9 (a High speed switching, N-channel MOSFET). I can't find any from the suppliers in my area (I'm in South Africa), so I'm looking for an alternative that will do the same job, without frying the PCB.

Can anyone maybe suggest such an alternative, please?

Take a look at this http://www.irf.com/product-info/datasheets/data/irfb812pbf.pdf I think it will work. But I have not checked pin layout. Just specs
