Looking for Advice Regarding A.S Engineering Systems Technology Degree

For those who have completed this degree or know about it, is this degree worth pursuing? I was told that this degree is often pursed for technician type jobs, however, I get the impression it is limited if you're looking to get into more advanced positions. Can you become a technician that makes over 60,000-70-000 a year through work experience or will you need to get a bachelor's degree?
