Hi, I would like to ask about something which I confused about it in real life .
lets assume I have four cards with numbers 1 2 3 2 , my child asks me how many times number 2 recurred ? what should I tell him, twice or one?
theoretically we say twice, but in real life we say the same thing? we are generally say in real life it's recurred one ..

any help to understand the concept of the meaning "recurring" and how it's compiled in math?
