we are required to design a running message using gates and a 7 segment display as an output. . .

specification are as follows:

- use five letter that would spell out your name
(ex. Jeffb)
- use at least 1 capital letter
- at most 1 repetitive letter
- use breadboard to plot your circuit. .

its like cutting the downpart of the segment;

Your correspondancies between the desired letters and the 7-seg segments don't make much sense to my eyes.

Take a look at the datasheet of a typical 7-segment display.

Can you break down each of your desired characters to a set of segments?
ie. d={1,2,3,4,7}
