Hello everyone. I was looking at lm386 and I want to know why we use a capacitor between pin 1 and 8 the logic behind this , can we increase the gain by using the resistor between inverting/non- inverting and output instead of using capacitor

 

Check the datasheet for the LM386. The information you are asking for is all there.

 

It uses a capacitor to change the feedback for AC without affecting the feedback for DC. A resistor would also change the DC feedback, throwing off the circuit in other ways.
