An added LC low-pass filter at the regulator will help reduce the noise, if needed.

As others have pointed out, you follow the LC filter with a linear low dropout regulator.

To minimize the heat dissipation on the LDO, you require the adjustable version of the switchmode regulator, to set its output to the LDO’s dropout voltage, typically 1/2 volt higher than the output.

Just note that the regulator may not suppress the high frequency spike switching noise as well as the LC filter.
