Hi,
I am just starting to learn and use electrical motors, and I want to understand how to make the motor stop at a given point. I know which signals need to be on each of the 6 mosfets to make the motor move, but I don't know which signals needs to be on each one for the motor to stop and hold at a specific point.
Please help me!

What kind of motor do you have? Stopping a motor and holding a motor are two different things.

Is the motor you have, been designed for static torque?

You can spend years studying motors. Study and research by and with motor function.

Motor control is quite sophisticated now a-days. Lots to study.

Hi,
I am using a linear 3 phase motor and TI LAUNCHPAD with BOOSTXL.
When the power is off the rod is free to move, and I want to find a way to make it static while operation.

You will need position feedback.

Unless you are willing to burn 100% power in the motor to hold a position, you need a feedback system.
