How to add LED or Neon indicator to existing 240v wall light switch?
I want the led to lite when the switch is at OFF position and led to turn off when light switch is at ON position.
I have already installed those led indicator switches from Amazon but I would like to know to make one.
Will appreciate schematic of the circuit.

LED to line without isolation is a prohibited topic.

 

Put the led/neon across the light switch terminals, so that when the switch is On, the neon is shorted out Off, and will be On when the switch is turned Off.

Maybe - maybe not. the only practical way is prohibited, but may be OK if not accessible. Code compliance is a whole nother can of worms.

Pretty sure there's off the shelf switch plates with indicator lights.

 

I would tend toward the neon also,you could also use a two way switch.
