Although I do not fully agree I do understand the Limits of liability (Disclaimer) from the link you posted.

This is not a daily driver car and I have checked all of my state laws concerning my modifications.

I appreciate your help and will look to a different forum for any other assistance I need with circuits for my car.

I will keep this forum linked for issues that do not concern modifying my car.

The "Automotive Guidelines" do not prohibit ANY discussions on various automotive topics; basically just those involving modifications to safety lighting, ECM's and through-firewall mods.

A typical consumer 555 timer is not rated for automotive environments.
Neither is the CD4017B.
The LM317 regulator is not rated for the input-output voltage differential that can and do occur during transient load dumps.
