i'm supposed to work on a project that consists on creating a led analyser to test PCB (functional test) they want me to create a system that can measure the color (R,G,B) and the luminous intensity of the LEDs i choosed to work with this sensor tcs34725 from adafruit. and probably i'm going to work with arduino

but i have a problem understanding the concept of this project because i'm a transmission engineer not an electrical engineer why we use leds to test pcb , what information can one interpret from the color (rgb) and luminous intensity of the LEDs i know it has a relation with the Power consumption, but i can't find anything on the internet that details this topic

Hello,

The datasheet of the leds should have information on the relation on current vs intensity, like in the datasheet I have attached.
TAOS now AMS has also some interesting light sensors:

Bertus
thank you bertus, but i'm not asking about the sensor, i already choosed one, but i'm asking about , what to interpret from the measurment information? if i get the color code and the luminous intensity what can i interpret about the pcb?

This is a decent functional test of the LED output of the board. If the LED lights the proper color and intensity then you have assurance the board is functioning properly... assuming that is the entire function of the board.
