Hi all. I’m hoping I have a quick question that I need help answering.
I am attempting to use a latching switch (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RY6NKL...abc_QB0QHE4EKZYBHPSK2YDA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) to power an L298N driver module, using a 12 VDC power supply.
I’m confused on how to properly wire this set up.
Should it be like this? Where NO and + go to the 12V on the driver module, and the power/ground come from the 12VDC external power supply?

Post the L298N driver module circuit.

I believe you want it connected as shown for "Program 1".
When the button is pressed, the LED turns on and power is applied to the L298 Module.
When the button is pressed again, the LED turns off and power is removed from the L298 Module.

So...
Before you connect anything, make sure you know the current state of the switch so that power isn't unexpectedly applied when connecting the wires.

then...
1. Connect ground from power supply to -LED pin and to the GND terminal on the L298 Module.
2. Connect a jumper wire from the +LED pin to the NO pin, then connect the NO pin to +12 terminal on the L298 Module.
3. Connect the "C" pin to +12 of the power supply.

Operation expected:
When the button is pressed, the LED turns on and power is applied to the L298 Module.
When the button is pressed again, the LED turns off and power is removed from the L298 Module.
