Hello everyone. I am confusing about the laser diode driver.

The LDA is connected to LD anode and LDK is connected to LD cathode. After switching on, the voltage of LDA increases from 0 to 5V.
I think the current should from from LDA to LDK or LD anode to LD cathode. But on page 5 of datasheet, it shows that current in LDA is from -95 to 10mA and current in LDK is from -10 to 95mA. I am confused.

Is this the section on page 5 which says "ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS" and "No Destruction, correct function not guaranteed"? If so, then it's just the values to stay inside of to avoid device distruction, not normal operating conditions.

 

Thank you for reply. the absolute maximum ratings indicate that the pin can tolerate. But why is the range of current LDA from -95 to 10mA?
