I bought several 100 F capacitors via eBay. They tested out ok. Now, what practical use is there for a 100 F capacitor?
Low voltage energy storage maybe? Connect a set of those to a solar cell and charging circuit, then use that to power an Arduino for example...

Even English to English can be problematic. I worked with a programmer newly arrived in the U.S. from Australia. He went up to the female admin and asked is she had any rubbers, and was totally at a loss why she turned bright red.

rubber (Australia): eraser
rubber (U.S.): condom

And that first drawing for your new project (the one for which you need the rubber to correct it) would be done on the back of a fag packet -at least it would have been before smoking became less popular.

You put 5 in series and you get a 13.5v capacitor with 100F capacitance. Full loaded, it should crank a car's starter motor for 1.5 (worst case) to more than 10 seconds (for a small car w/1.8L engine) - assuming you stop cranking at 10v.

It might if the ESR is low enough, but those pins might get a bit warm.

Yeah it was just to show how much energy is stored in 100F at 13v. About 4000W for 1 second (4000 joules). More if you can do significant work as it discharges all the way to zero. About 9000J - if my math is right.

I’ve seen two types of these super capacitors. On type seems to have ESR of several ohms, and could only really be used to keep logic or memory alive, and another type appears to be capable of some serious power delivery.

I replaced some dead ni-cads in a crank style emergency flashlight with w/ super caps and that's been years ago. Charges up to a usable state much faster and given the very infrequent use,doubt I'll ever run up against the charge cycle lifespan in my lifespan.
