Trying to repair a Vizio power supply board. Bought a kit of parts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/164470172350

One of which is a resistor. R915 on the circuit board.

The part on the CB looks nothing like the resistor in the repair kit or any resistor of which I am familiar. See photo below.

Is this really a resistor?

It does look like a resistor. The Ebay vendor's instructions say to check the continuity of R915 before replacing it, so if yours is good, no need to change it.

 

The designation on that device i "FU", usually meaning fuse. So check it with an ohm meter before even unsoldering it. It may be a 30 ohm fuse resistor. Those do exist.
