Is the thread really locked?

I couldn't see the offending thread. Maybe it was considered a duplicate of the other ramp generator post by the same member.

are both open now. There was some discussion as to whether they should be the same thread but one is about the circuit and the other is really a measurement question about the circuit. The measurement thread has general applications so it can stand on its own.

It's not unusual to lock the thread while sorting things out - it keeps things from getting out of date while we do moves, merges etc.

As always, you can send a report or PM a mod if you have questions, concerns or advice.

Thanks,
John

Yes. To all mods, sorry; I should have asked through the "report option".:(

Not a bigmouth myself. :(

No worries! 'Feedback' is a good place to ask things like this, too. I like reports/PMs better since we get an immediate note to check something out. I just took this opportunity to remind members that those options also exist.
Have a great day!

Another thing to keep in mind is that there is a bit of a lag between different pieces of the forum database being updated, so a thread that shows as being locked on one page may have actually already been unlocked and is accessible on another (or vice-versa). XenForo actually isn't too bad about this. Another forum I work is -- it can take a couple of days for parts of it to update. I'll get an e-mail with a new post and when I go to the site the forum thread list shows that there is a new post by that user, but when I go to the thread itself the post isn't there and can take an hour or more to be accessible. Post counts can take a couple days to update on the member listing page but are updated immediately on the individual member's page. Quite frustrating to manage; the latter, of course, is pretty cosmetic but the former can be a real pain when you are trying to respond in a timely fashion to a member's question in a discussion.
