is it possible to have 2 current sink (programmable resistor) in series

hi, with respect to this link, if i am not wrong can be called as active load / variable resistor / current sink / programmable load etc, is it possible to connect them in series back to back so that we can have two variable resistors in the range 0.1 to 1 ohms. if not what are the other alternatives to have two programmable resistor in series for the given value?
