Just trying to be polite. I knew plants were alive before I was 6 years old but I didn't want to compare RRITESH to a 4 year old.---Emphasis added---
So then... Botanical inclination is gender specific?![]()
What this mean?So then... Botanical inclination is gender specific?
I also know, but i don't remember age of mine.I was 6 years old
If you knew plants were alive, then why did you ask on the forum?I also know, but i don't remember age of mine.
I disagree. Trees are much friendlier to hug.Plants make good pets especially Cactus.
Yes but they have a somewhat prickly temperament.Plants make good pets especially Cactus.
Perhaps I'm the eternal optimist (or dupe?) -- What I see is a valiant struggle with a language barrier -- So long TS remains appropriately courteous I see no harm in extending the benefit of the doubt? --- My $.02Getting close to 50 posts...Has anybody discovered what the question is about?
All I see, so far, is that RRITESH has known plants are alive for many years, then asked us if plants are alive.
WBahn says it isn't about electricity or electronics.
I think it isn't about carpentry, but I might be wrong.
Any progress?
So... the cognitive development of 6 year old girls is on a par with that of 4 year old boys? Golly!Just trying to be polite. I knew plants were alive before I was 6 years old but I didn't want to compare RRITESH to a 4 year old.
This is not a problem involving the language barrier. He clearly asked if plants are alive. Then he clearly said he's known they were alive for many years. Sounds like trolling to me.Perhaps I'm the eternal optimist (or dupe?) -- What I see is a valiant struggle with a language barrier -- So long TS remains appropriately courteous I see no harm in extending the benefit of the doubt? --- My $.02![]()
He should spend few years working on his language proficiency and then on his EE because sometimes it seems like he slept on his lectures.
He RRitesh has been a member here for many years, but just recently started his new line of questioning. There was always the language barrier, but not the 'new' behavior. Got him banned at ETO.Perhaps I'm the eternal optimist (or dupe?) -- What I see is a valiant struggle with a language barrier -- So long TS remains appropriately courteous I see no harm in extending the benefit of the doubt? --- My $.02![]()
FWIW, based upon my interaction with him via PM and on his thread (in the Math forum), he not uncommonly 'moots' arguments (or perceived arguments) offered by articles found on the 'web', etc... --- Perhaps he wanted input on what seemed a ridiculous claim? --- It's reasonable to assume, for instance, that the distinction between 'sentient' and 'living' may be lost on an 'ESLer' --- Especially as, in addition to its principal definition, 'life', in common usage, can mean anything from 'reality' to 'fate' to 'the asperities one must endure', etc...This is not a problem involving the language barrier. While I claim no knowledge of the circumstances attending his expulsion from ETO, I will say that I've not observed disruptive behaviour on his part here...He RRitesh has been a member here for many years, but just recently started his new line of questioning.
