I am currently working on a RND project and I am struggling to begin the concept for this project. The project is based on a Kinetic Power Plant described in the following link:

I dont have many variables yet, except for the required power generation. So what i intend on doing is determining the required power for the pressure generator and determining the power required to generate that pressure and thus determine the efficiency of the power supply as a whole. The problem statement is as follows.

Kindly assist me in this problem, as i am stumped.

 

Is this a school/college project?
Is it an April Fool joke?
What provides the power to operate the pressure source?
Why do the buoys in one column rise , but the buoys in the other column descend?

 

The so called Kinetic Power Plant by Rosch is a scam. It's going for about 14 years now. They used to be located in Germany but moved to Thailand at some point. There is a thread in a German forum which has about 55,000 entries. https://www.allmystery.de/themen/gw113123-2827
A couple of years ago there was a guy who set up a website saying it is fraud (which it is). They sued him, the judge ordered the machine to be examined by experts, and at the day of the trial (where the experts would have reported their findings) they withdrew the lawsuit. Said website is still online.

They are still trying to find investors for the "KPP". In Thailand they have two demo KPPs running, 100 kW for powering "the farm", 500 kW to feed into the public grid (it's all nonsense).

In 2014 the company offered small 5kW power plants for home owners. In partnership with some kind of esoteric association from Austria called "GAIA" they gathered about 350 people who made down payments, overall 750.000€. They had a demonstration over the course of two weeks, where the so called power plant allegedly did function (inside the premise of Rosch).

Guess what, nobody ever got his power plant, nobody really knows what happened to the money, some people sued, some were paid back. Nobody talks about it any more.
These are just a few of many, many stories around the Kinetic Power Plant.

At a guess, the pressure pump would require at least 600W.

 

This description says it all:

How it works:
A complex controlled pneumatic filling added a container system in permanent rotation.
The buoyant force is converted into kinetic energy via a gear system driving a generator, which generator acts as a braking system and converts the equalized energy into usable electric current.

Look at that first sentence, I cannot even imagine what they were trying to say. I can only assume it is intended for people who would not know it conveys zero information.
