IRF3205, two different looks on ebay, are they both legitimate?

It is quite simply impossible to know what you are getting by looking at the markings. If I was going to buy parts on eBay, I'd buy a small quantity from a vendor until I could establish their reliability. People who sell on eBay risk a great deal by selling stuff that is not legit. A single complaint will shut them down.

I do like the look of the second listing, so I bought a 20 piece lot.

I ran into a problem with my 3000 watt inverter I repaired. It was working good.
Then I decided to try running the 16k btu heat pump. I figured if it was too much power the inverter would simply shutdown on overload that is what it is supposed to do and used to do when new.
BUT, it sizzled and burnt every single input side mosfet IRF 3205 I had put into the inverter, all 16 of them. Those were in the first listing.
Do you think it was the mosfets or is something wrong with the inverter shutdown circuit?

I also plan to replace all the 16v 3300uf input capacitors to 25v 3300uf.

It is really hard to answer that question. Forensic electronics at a distance is notoriously difficult. A schematic diagram would help immensely.
