I've been trying to build a simple circuit using the IR2111 gate driver to control a half bridge setup as shown on the first page of the datasheet here:

I've tried building the circuit and also designing a schematic on LTSpice. On both, I have not been able to get the gate driver LO/HO to toggle - LO is always high (at V_cc), and HO is always 0V. I'm not sure why this is happening, I believe I must be doing something wrong with the circuit. If anyone could post a picture/LTSpice schematic of the IR2111 circuit that works, or if anyone has any debugging insights, I'd be super super appreciative.

 

Post the schematic showing EXACTLY how you are connecting the part- and/or the LT Spice file.

 

I attached the LT Spice file below, sorry if it's kinda messy I was rushing through it a bit, hope it's readable. Lmk if I can provide any other files.

Hi Eric,

Here's the .lib and the .asy files as requested. The .asy was auto generated from the .lib file, and the .lib file was downloaded from https://www.infineon.com/part/IR2111.

 

Seems like LTSpice simulation now works after raising the PWM amplitude to be ~V_cc... Super weird, no idea why that makes such a big difference. Thanks everyone for the help anyways! (hopefully it works when I build it lol)

Thanks Eric, I got the same thing. I was previously using a 5V pwm signal and I think that was the issue. Thanks for the help!
