i want to connect the L293DNE ic with 8051.

should i build a circuit connection directly to the micro controller as we do in proteus. or i should use some protection( like resistance, diode, etc.)

could any one give me the full circuit.

 

According to the datasheet "All inputs are TTL compatible", so you shouldn't need additional components. But if you decide you want added protection in case the IC fails then you could drive the IC inputs via optocouplers.

 

You can directly connect input and enable pins of L293D to 8051 microcontroller. Here is a sample circuit for interfacing dc motor. .

sir, what about interfacing ULN2003A? would it require some kind of external electronic component like diode, transistors, etc
