Hello everyone,
I have a Vodafone mono-v solar mobile charger bought from another country. The device works but the built in Li-ion battery is dead. The built in battery is a 3.7v 600mA Li-ion battery which is very compact and for which a spare is not available in my country. I however have a Li-po battery for 3.7v 750mA and the device works excellent with it. The problem is that the safety board for the Li-po is not as compact as the original one's safety board and so I cannot fit it inside even though the battery size is approximately same. My doubt is, can I remove the safety board on the original battery and fix it on my replacement battery ? Both of them have 2 similar ic's, 3 resistors and a cap onboard, but I doubt if the chemistry for Li-ion and Li-Po are different, hence need some guidance. Will the safety boards work otherways?
Thank You.
