Intel doesn't have a very good track record whenever they venture from their core competencies. Maybe that will change someday...

Looks like Mobileye will be an exception.

Looks like Mobileye will be an exception.
many people (especially the DIY/hack communities) viewed the Edison as a knock-off intended as a single board computer to compete with raspberry pi but the real goal Intel mentioned at CES that year was to make a development pathway to compete with Qualcomm chips for smart phones.
