can someone explain what is ac and dc coupling in function generator?

 

actually i haven't seen a function generator which provides ac / dc coupling ,
(r u talking abt adding dc to a signal ? )
basically ac/dc coupling => with ac there is a dc blocking capacitor in the signal path , dc coupling => no cap
