The newer vehicles all use CAN bus technology to drive speedometers and tachometers. Does anyone know of a way to build a test bench to test instrument clusters where you can drive these gauges through a range using the CAN Bus?
I am not a programmer but I am assuming that a code can be written to drive these gauges on the bench without hooking them up to the vehicle? The next question would be, can it be done for all makes and models?
