I'm working on a variable power supply my goal is:
Input 8-21V
Output 1-60V
Iout 0-10A
Freq 400kHz (Option to choose 300kHz or 500kHz if needed)
When I calculate for L, let's say at a constant 10V and vary my Iout from 5A to 10A my calculated inductance is 6.69uH to 3.34uH respectively. I'm interested in understanding the best practice for inductor selection with these variables. Should I choose the inductor with the calculated max current? If I do choose the L with max Iout, how will it affect the output if Iout is only 1A? If you have any reading material that would help me understand this better please feel free to share! Thank you
