Impossible situation

I don't even know if there is a PCB. It might be buried inside this thing or not. The only thing on the outside is a power supply input jack and an on-off switch. The only active things inside it are this motor and gear box and one LED. Really no need for circuitry. I did try connecting the motor directly to the power supply external to the lift house. No motion. I switched up to a 6VDC supply and still nothing. The meter shows the 6.7 Volts drops down to .35 V when I connect to the motor. Tried another motor from the same batch (they are sold in bags of 6). Same thing. No motion.
