Identifying the IC

I am having some difficulty in identifying the IC in the attached picture. The IC has following criteria as you can see
  1. The IC has a total of 4 pins, with 2 pins positioned on each of the longer sides.
  2. The One pin is wider than the other pins.
  3. when did X-Rays it appears none of the pins serve as a ground connection.
  4. The surface-mount device (SMD) marking on the IC is "50".
  5. There is "88S" written at the bottom of it

    Any suggestions and help will be highly appreciated.

need to see rest of the circuit. package is known as SOT-343-4 or SC-82.
and while it is not common, it could be different things - diodes,schottky, TVS, RF amplifiers, LDOs, voltage detectors...
