What you have just described is called a DC to DC Boost converter.
Well designed or not, a Boost Converter is still a Boost Converter..

If you want a 100V DC output, first you need a supply of >100V.

 

A flyback or a forward converter would also do the job and might involve the use of an opamp, but I think this is a level of complexity that the TS would not have anticipated
