Hi ,
Could any one help me with the following homework :(

Design a function generator (square,triangle and sinusoidal)
With ability to adjust the amplitude and the frequency ..

Frequency range 10hz -100khz

Regards ;)
First of all you are the lucky one here.
If you look at the general forms wanted you will see a similar base:

x=U sin(Q)
y=U Cos(Q)

this will produce a sinus when step Q in small steps.
If you take huge steps like 90 degree (1/2 pi) you will create a triangle.
Next thing to do create a square wave ( I leave that to your brain).

We need a sinus generator allowing to modify the Q step eq pre-set counter and a dac plus opamp to create a swing around zero ( when needed).
next step is to fiddle with the pre-set bits in the counter allowing to skip counts.( oops I just reveal here the square wave method).

The rest should flow from your own brains.

Good luck.

When we finally land on Mars, someone will want to extract water from the sandy soil. No problem, I'm sure bertus has a PDF for that.

Search Mancini TI op amps. Learnt a lot from that "bible" and used several of the proposed circuits.

Solve the design, one section at a time, to save grief and time.
