I don't use Orcad now but it is Pspice compatible. Orcad has its own file format. You probably need to import the pspice file to convert it.I have ORCAD 16.6. PSPICE stuff is mentioned but I can't get anything to run but the main PSPICE program. No *.DAT files. Do I just have the stripped down free version without PSPICE?
I have been to the Cadence web and downloaded PSPICE (I thought). I'm still struggling with it.I don't use Orcad now but it is Pspice compatible. Orcad has its own file format. You probably need to import the pspice file to convert it.
I think I may need to reload my orcad.Yes orcad is pspice compatible. I think it is pretty easy to use.
You can launch "Capture" and open any sample design shipped along with.
It should be located at - <install>/tools/pspice/capture_samples/anasim/example
Just open the design and hit the simulation button.
You can further edit the design to simulate your own circuit.
