That may sound a bit grandiose, but I'm sure it's true.

We went to a Lowe's today for some paint & such. While waiting to check out, I saw a display of tool boxes. I saw this one -
[SIZE=-1]Best Tool Chest:

Kobalt 53" 16-Drawer Stainless Steel Tool Cabinet ($1498) is one sold at Lowes home improvement stores. This is the grand daddy of them all and it covers everything a guy would want in a tool chest. You get a small refrigerator, heavy duty casters with shocks, an integrated 4 outlet power supply, 16 drawers, and a stereo. It measures almost 70 inche high, 53 inches wide, and 23" deep. Reviews note that the Kobalt is "versatile" and "sturdy" but others say the price is a bit steep for their tastes. We say the price is not that bad when you compare it to a SnapOn storage chest that costs closer to $2500. Craftsman can be competitive on price, but owners of the Kobalt love the stainless steel look that is hard to get from the red and blue Craftsman tool cabinets. You can check out the Kobalt in Lowes or at the Kobalt website located KobaltTools.com. The Kobalt 11-Drawer Ball-Bearing Rolling Tool Cabinet is another top seller ($598) worth considering.

The refrigerator plus stereo was just amazing. Oh, yes - the top has gas struts to hold it open and two halogen lights.

I've got a 6K budget for new tools and storage for some new equipment. Looks like Lowes is on the top of the list instead of sears. :)

I saw that last week! Incredible!

The speaker are in the corners of the top shelf and the fridge is at the foot.

Awesome. Definitely a good grab.

I'd build my own for 1/4 the price using my own hands instead of cheap Chinese labor and plastic. That kind of bench is for the weekend warrior who doesn't have enough vested in their hobby to figure out a good general work area for themselves.

I prefer the older Waterloo/Craftsman made-in-USA-ball-bearing chests. When on sale, they are quite affordable. Even my home is decorated with them. They are great for socks, handkerchiefs, underwear, belts, etc. -- if you like to be organized. My daughters think my red and black furniture is odd, but have never criticized the practicality.

I saw this nice toolbox on the Orange County Choppers TV-show. I liked that show until the product placement got way to obivous, even for me. And the OCC family lost it.
