I have a 6 pin eeprom . With the markings
48+
PPS
706C2.
Which pin is WP?

I have spent a week looking for this info on the web.
I am 70 and miss a lot but I have search hard.

It might be custom part or relabeled part.

If it is custom part, then finding datasheet will be impossible.

If it is relabeled part, you can try using datasheets from similar products to figure out what is what.

EEPROMs in 6 pin packages don't have a write protect pin.
Yes your right. 2 wire serial --- I just read that one clock pin and one data pin.
I will never manage to hack that one. :-(
After thinking about it can I read the data out of the registers in the chip and copy them to anouther chip?

Hello. Did you manage to find a solution for the 706C2? I have the same chip sitting on a Sindoh 3D printer filament cartridge and I would like to read it out and re-program it.

I share your interest about the Sindoh cartridge chip. It looks to me like a one wire device such as the DS2431, but unfortunately the corresponding Arduino library does not read anything from it. So it must have a different protocol. Haven't hooked it up to the scope yet, as it seems a nasty one. Without data sheet there is not much of a chance...
