#12 dropped out of sight about 9 PM EDT last night; I got my fingers crossed, hoping he's OK and no major damage.
Hi,

I read that it could be weeks for the power company to get all the electric back on. We just have to wait. I know two people who live in very badly hit areas down there. I know those areas flooded out. Just have to wait to see. I assume that cell phone towers are inoperable too but dont know for sure.

Hey, guys!

Went home to discover I have power. But, no internet, cable, or phone -- including cell or landline. I'm at a friend's now stealing their internet.

Spent afternoon cleaning up. House OK, but yard and pool a mess. Two of my trees split in half. I wonder if they'll recover.

Photos follow.
Looks like you took minimal damage... of course it'll be a PITA to clean that mess up, and sorry about the trees, but other than that, I'm happy to hear (or at least hear you imply) that you and yours are all ok.

My avocado tree, on the right below, faired better than I expected. My neighbor's tree, on the left, fell on his fence.

This is one of my Black Olives. Poor thing ain't lookin' too good.

This is a piece of that Black Olive ripped off by a mini-tornado. It just missed my garage roof.

A shot of my neighbor's yard. He lost a couple of smaller palms and a lot of his Black Olive.

My other BO faired quite well.

The city was out here before 7AM clearing the streets to make things passable. This is a shot south.

This is a shot north.

This is the backside of my BO. Quite a lot of damage on her. The staging area for the debris pickup is in this cul-de-sac.

A closer view of my BO. Oh well, time to break out the chainsaw.

That's it for damage???

Looks like our old party house after a typical Friday night Toga Party. (the plastic bags would be filled with empties instead of rubbish)
Funny.

The amount of physical labor I performed over the past week exceeds anything I can remember.

I'm a thinker, not all that physical.

Luckily, I run to keep in shape. The 300+ miles I ran this year has helped.

Unfortunately, this damn cold is lingering -- probably due to stress. My ears hurt -- can't clear them.

Get some rest and hot food, the last thing you need is to get sick.
