Careful, @WBahn will decide an off-topic conversation is straying off-topic and close this thread like he did elsewhere last night.

(Ungrateful members topic but talk of "forced gratefulness" and associated forced behaviors was considered too off-topic to survive). I'm not sure REO Speddwagon was singing about hurricane Irma as the title of this thread indicates.
MOD NOTE: Please don't cross-pollute threads. Part of standard netiquette is that what is said in a thread, stays in that thread. Airing grievances about one thread in other threads is trolling.

For the record, the turn of events in the other thread was reported by other members and the decision to close it was not unilateral on my part.

I didn't inline the last one. You must have a cache of old data.
It was originally inline and then changed by someone to a link.

No, @cmartinez, no way I can upload video (or even an image). I think all the locals are trying to watch NFL football online or something.

I'm trying to minimize my broadband use, but it seems others don't care as much.

Understood. I guess we'll all eventually see Irma's winds in Tampa in due time... in the meantime, stay safe. Good luck.

We just lost power down here! ... rumor has it that the whole northeastern part of Mexico has lost electricity too!!

I wonder if this is somehow remotely related to the current weather... but I strongly doubt it.

If it turns out to be unrelated, I'll open a new thread on this subject.

Broadband went down the past few hours. I'm back online with 3G. Egress from my east parking lot is blocked by a large tree. West exit still open, but south travel is also blocked. Hopefully, I can exit to the north tomorrow.

Anyone got a chainsaw and wench I can borrow?
