How's the weather?

It has just started snowing here in West Tennessee, and we are expected to get a few inches today (which is a lot for here.) The same storm is going to track up through eastern Kentucky, Virginia, etc. bringing (month late) holiday cheer to the NE US.

Fortunately, by my personal calculation of winter, it's more than half done; I consider winter to include all of December, January, and February and no more. March 1 is the first day of spring in my way of reckoning the seasons.

ETA: Weather Underground is predicting 4.4 inches of snow here today. How's that for precise prognostication?

Jonas has started here. 22 degrees. About 1/2 in of flour snow so far. They say we will get +18 inches.

I guess we will see.

~ 09:30 AM. About 5 in. of wet snow on back porch. Coming down pretty heavy.

Started raining 30 minutes ago. When the temperature goes below 60 F tonight it will stay there for 2 days.
Not too awful. I'm getting acclimated to not sweating every day and the house is comfortable at 72 F instead of 78 F.

It's a cool, comfy 19C down here... a little too dry, and strong, static sparks between me and my car are getting annoying... need to be real careful when handling electronic components today

In Monterrey, yesterday... an unthinkable spectacle! ... for the first time in about 20 years, the peaks of our mountains have actually turned a beautiful white... they even glowed during the night! It was surreal!

That second photo is spectacular!
(Global warming sure does strange things!)

Meanwhile, it's just raining at about 60 F today. Boring.:(
