For New years present I got a check engine light and snow on same day,year couldn't start any better..

 

In West Tennessee, winter is here, and it's a beautiful sunny day; low last night was about 30 F and high today will be about 50 F.

 

Rabbit can be good, but I don't like wild goose. I never had elk, but I am very fond of venison. There's nothing any better than a successful winter morning deer hunt followed by fresh tenderloin, brown eggs, and homemade biscuits.

 

You should be thankful. I just replaced the CV axle, brakes, calipers, exhaust, and got four new tires mounted and balanced only to find that my car has severe structural rust and probably won't make it through the winter. Yippee.

I lucked out so big at the junque yard yesterday! A matched set of (4) tires 255/70/16 with more than half the tread on them for $50.
I just got them divorced from their wheels for $10 and stored them until the day I can drive that monster SUV someplace and get the tires mounted on to the wheels with which it was born.
(They have this unusual 3 inch center hole for the 4 wheel drive axles to work right.)

Meanwhile, it's 70 F outside, 76 F inside the house, and muggy. I just turned the air conditioner on...on the second day of January!

Rainy and 60 tomorrow. I'll mow the lawn on Monday at about 60 F at sunset...or today. It depends on how quickly I recover from going on the used tire adventure, two days in a row. I still have almost 3 hours of daylight left.

Reminds me to buy a pair of boots with metal cleated soles so I can walk on an icy surface without slipping and breaking my butt bone.
