I never understood why they didn't teach this in driver's ed in high school. I taught my kids - by example mostly - that in dodgy conditions you should test the grip every once in a while. Exaggerate a turn, brake a little harder, that sort of thing. Sometimes you get a big surprise then you learn the road below you is a lot slipperier than you thought. I'd rather learn that on my own instead of sliding into the next intersection.Mainly snow here last night but the roads are a slick mess near Portland. Took the teen out in the car to do donuts in the empty store parking lot so she could feel what losing control in a car is like. Great fun!
