The monkey's were behind glass in a senic pen, but the female bartenders drove them as crazy as they did the pipeline workers. Me, I spent my mid tour leave from Attu island in Anchorage with a side trip to fairbanks toto cat an AF plane back to Shemya ... Then a second flight to Attu.

Almost gone when it stopped snowing. I decided to go out and clear the drive. It is supposed to warm up and I was just going to wait. But with that much snow, it would not be melted by morning and I was afraid even my Subaru wouldn't make it up the hill. I went and cleared the elderly couples' drive across the street while I was at it. Easy enough to do with a snow blower.

I may have brought it up before but I had an argument with a friend of mine that swears polar bears eat penguins. I told him, "only at the zoo when someone leaves a door open". He did not understand.

The last time they threatened snow here, all we got was a little rain. Got up to about five inches this time. But it's almost all gone now. Back in the 40s.
