I take it there is no Ice Melt in Mexico?? I have a hundred pounds or more of it in my garage. I might have more in my garage than in all of Mexico.

This is what the backyard of the Martinez estate looks like at this moment... the day has improved significantly.

Weather? Cold with more cold in the forecast. On the bright side there was plenty of sun today. Actually I can't complain as right now it is about 30 F. I figure it will get much colder before those warm days return. Maybe after the holidays a trip down south is in order or the Caribbean. That would be nice come Jan. or Feb.

It's a mountain... it's called "Cerro de las Mitras" ... it's much bigger than it looks in the pic. Every other summer a hiker or two get lost in it and have to be rescued, sometimes even using a helicopter.

It's part of the Oriental Sierra Madre Mountain range (sorry, no treasure... I've already looked, and couldn't find any... but plenty of bandits alright... ) ... as you follow the range up north, it turns into the Rocky Mountains range.

Actually, they're bogainvilleas... and beyond the fence there's a public park (and to the left too), after which is a small creek, and then a large avenue... and then lots of city before you're able to reach that mountain.

 

Wasn't thinking of the treasure. I remember the Sierra Madre as the source of VLF reflections from Raymondville that caused erroneous positions because some receivers would lock onto the reflection and not the real signal. The write up called it "The Raymondville Ghost".

Yeah... I remember you posted this same comment a while ago... a very interesting phenomenon...

 

The two are implicitly joined, I had forgotten about the association with "treasure".
