Now they are not even talking about the weather.
I'm privileged because it's, "my" Thread.:p
I wandered off the topic because the weather here is so awful that nobody wants to go outside.:(
I have long believed that if you put Kentucky and Florida in a box, shook them up, and put them back, they would both have better soil.
Right now, I'm wishing somebody would put Duluth and Tampa in a box and shake them up so we'd both have better weather.:D
(I feel a strong disagreement front approaching from somewhere around Minnesota.)

There was a thunderstorm a few hours ago at a place that is about 30 miles from here. The wind has been blowing this direction all afternoon, so the temperature dropped almost 20°F in a couple of hours... nice and cool right now (80°F), at least for our standards, and perfect for a BBQ! :)

Weather preference and writing style are not character defects, so I think you have wandered off topic.:(
Sry @#12 I'll try again;)
Where I live it's hot and stormy in summer and cold and snowy in winter and most years are either cooler or warmer than average:) And it's like a million times moreso in _wildfire years_:eek::rolleyes:!

psychologists label a mental illness as anything that puts you X standard deviations away from the mean of the general population, in the tails of the bell curve distribution of fellow humans.
@wayneh that's what I mean by it's pathologizing just difference w/o bringing function into it! So for example by that logic genius is mental illness:confused:! Which now that I think on it could be right:D!

We have a saying here in Utah. " If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes"
And they have a saying in Kentucky:
"Reckon it's gonna rain?"
"It always has."

They think that's hilarious, but you have to really, "get" hillbilly humor to understand why it's funny.
Even Jeff Foxworthy wasn't able to bring that level of understanding to the general public.
You have to live there for months before you understand the mixture of fatalism and ignorant wisdom that makes it funny.
"Ignorant wisdom"? Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
No, it isn't. I've seen country bumpkins that couldn't figure miles per gallon say some of the most profound things I've ever heard. They have wisdom, but it's so specific to their locale that it doesn't translate into any other American dialect.
(Tip of my hat to @tracecom )

Nothing to report for Florida unless you count the eye-popping beauty of the summer vegetation and the tropical skies. I tried to take a photo in the dawnzerly light, but I would need a panoramic lens to do it justice.:(
Heat Index is 110F and it rains every afternoon.
Trying to mow the lawn between thunder storms and heat stroke is the local logistical challenge.

Well, if this is how you look while on the phone, I'm sure that chicks will dig you:
You know that boat has sailed.:p
The last, "chick" that came after me (two months ago) is still waiting for a phone call.;)

I don't hate women, I just hate the price of engaging with them in the long run.
