Around a week ago we were suffering between 38º and 40ºC and high humidity. After some hours of rain and the arrival of a cold mass coming from South (it always comes from there) we are having between 20º and 25ºC. Enjoying this summer, really.

The weather? Cold with single digit temps on the way. Starting to have a logistics problem with existing snow as in where to keep piling it up. Tomorrow into Monday a new snowstorm is on the way, gee nice to have things to look forward to. Maybe now that we are retired we should start thinking about a warmer climate? On the bright side several years ago I installed a whole house emergency generator backup system so when and if the lights (and heat) go off, they are back online in 10 seconds. Then if that should fail I also have a 4KW little gasoline unit. I hate cold! While I am not a "preppie" if we get a blizzard I want a comfortable stay in the house with all creature comforts.

I have kerosene heaters for emergency heat. Actually, cozied in front of one now, not that I'm having an emergency, just cheaper than using the central heat.
