Here in Taipei area about 30℃/111.6 ℉, but outside will be less, it's already raining a couple days, the temperature will be increase after one day later, and the sun will be come out again, it's a shiny day.

I'm glad I have a few days to prepare because I found out that my generator that I haven't started in 5 years doesn't run! Go figure! At least I'll have a chance to rebuild the carb before they come back.
Lost the transformer to the house a few years ago but it wasn't directly storm related. The electrical utilities are buried here so over the years storm water finally ate the transformer case. It was just my luck that PGE in portland had a replacement but the local utitlity guys didn't so it took a while to get the power back. My solar battery backup system saved the day then.

Do you use natural gas or gasoline?
Funny you should ask. The answer is ethanol, although its a gasoline generator. I bought the generator not as an emergency power backup, but as a test engine for my ethanol experiments a few years back. I got a really good deal on it; like $50 iirc for a brand new generator from a scratch-n'-dent place, never ran before. I only ever ran it on Everclear and home-distilled bud light. Today was the first day it ever saw gasoline, but as expected, the rubber lines were all cracked and need replaced.

Took out the sailboat today in 15-18 knot wind. The boat was standing on its rail across the 3 mile lake. Once I finally bailed from the wind, I noticed my cheeks were sore from ginning! Then I caught my breath, turned around and did it again...... and again.....

Rain is in the forecast for West Tennessee for the next 10 days. My house is in no danger of flooding, but others are. Sad, especially when so few have flood coverage.

Phone going off again, tornado warnings and flood warnings. Very atypical for this area to experience tornados. But my sister's house was hit a couple weeks ago and yesterday's alert did have a real tornado to back it up.

Reading the weather page i see reports in my area of .75" hail and 60mph winds. Downed trees and floode bridges . Will be a fun night

I hate nights like that. Good luck.

As of last week I had taken today and tomorrow off to go look at houses with the realtor. I wake up this morning to find that there was a flood of biblical proportions last night and much of the city is under water. I still want to go look at houses; actually I see it as the perfect time to go look at houses (I 'll get to see whether they flood or not). Called the realtor, and it turns out he's a trooper too; we're still on. Maybe I should stop by the truck outfitter place and have my tuck lifted a few inches before I head out....

Edit: never mind. Realtor just cancelled on me. Looks like I'll be wasting a day of vacation today.

Humid (46%) 90° F down here... it's too hot for my taste and it's about to get much hotter (we're expecting up to 117° F this August)
Good news is, we're just about to start a BBQ... as soon as the sun sets, which is in 90 more minutes :D

N.E. Ohio, US Nice day today and got some things done on the deck but I guess rains of biblical proportion are due in for the next few days. Overall been a cooler and wetter spring than usual and I see a cool wet summer. Just noticed the new look and formatting doesn't show locations anymore. What a waste.

Heat index of 107F today, down from 113F 5 days ago.
Free sauna, anyone?
I get annoyed about sweating every time I step out of the house...for about 7 months per year.
I wish I was in New York where I could sit on some of that nice, cold, granite.

If this winter starts like last winter I am going to visit friends in Florida, my wife's cousin in Arizona or I am going back to the Caribbean but I will not be here. As predicted cool and raining this morning. Good couple of days to catch up on my hand loading ammunition. I got mine and my neighbors gutters all cleaned out yesterday so that went well. :)

POW!
2 PM
Apparently a circuit breaker popped on a power pole.
I logged out without clicking my mouse. :p
First of many this summer?
Only down for an hour...not bad. :)
My computer has a UPS, but not the router. :(

I wonder what it sounds like if a circuit breaker that size pops where all the utility wires are buried.
Do they even use that kind of circuit breaker for underground utilities?
