I have been working on my project which is sine wave inverter. I am going to use ferrite transformer to convert 12v to 330v square wave. The switching frequency for transformer will be 50khz and works on push pull configuration. I was wondering if my mosfets will be fine with the inductive voltage spikes due to rapid change of current in L.V side of transformer. I am using irf1404 for switching L.V side which has Vds of 40v. Do i need additional circuit to protect these mosfets? What would be its design taking into account the frequency? Thanks!

 

A reverse-biased diode across the poles of the inductor is a typical solution, a snubber diode.

I don't think that will work well on a push-pull transformer drive.
